BILLINGS, MT – After a week long trip to Colorado, the Montana State University-Billings men’s tennis team will compete in the Compass Tournament hosted by Boise State University, March 25-27.  The tournament will be played on the Appleton Outdoor Courts.

The tournament will feature sixteen teams, seven of which are currently ranked in the top 75 Division I teams in the country.  MSU Billings has drawn the eighth seeded New Mexico State University in the first round.  Ranked teams in the draw include host team Boise State Bronco’s, Brigham Young University, Ball State University, Texas A&M at Corpus Christi, University of Nebraska, and Wichita State University.

“The men’s team will compete in the toughest tournament in the history of the program,” said head coach Jerry Peach.  “Our goal is to improve everyone’s game and learn how to instill toughness.  This is definitely the best men’s team event in the Intermountain area for 2005, regardless of division.  We are excited to be playing,” added Peach.
