Ryan was ranked first in doubles and third as a singles player in Alberta.  He has also competed at the Canadian Nationals.  Ryan is majoring in management and wants to have his own business.  His parents are Nigel Smith and Sheryl Slade.  Ryan enjoys snowboarding in his free time.  The last book Ryan read was Periodic Sports Training.  His goal in life is to try and get an ATP point to have a professional ranking.
