Yellowjackets to Face East Stroudsburg in MSU Billings Cup

BILLINGS, MT –East Stroudsburg University’s
(PA) 2-1 win over St. Cloud State on Saturday set up Sunday’s
match up between MSU Billings (0-0-1) and East Stroudsburg (1-0-0)
as the championship match of the MSU Billings Cup Sponsored by
Thrifty Care Rental. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. at
Yellowjacket Field with the winner taking home this year’s
MSU Billings Cup trophy.
The Yellowjackets played St. Cloud State to a
0-0 tie in Friday’s opening game. Freshman goalkeeper Megan Plank
had eight saves in the shutout effort. East Stroudsburg scored
two second half goals on Saturday to overcome a 1-0 halftime
deficit against St. Cloud State. The winner of Sunday’s match
will be the only unbeaten team over the weekend and will take home
the hardware. If the game ends in a tie, East Stroudsburg will be
named champion courtesy of its 2-1 victory on Saturday. |
