Two Losses Cost Yellowjackets Two Spots in Regional Poll (Feb. 4, 2004)

BILLINGS, MT – Despite two losses last week, the Montana State-Billings men’s basketball team remained in the NCAA West Region poll’s top ten released on Wednesday.  The Yellowjackets lost twice at Western New Mexico last week, bumping them from No. 8 to No. 10 in the third regional poll of the season.  MSU Billings had been ranked in the top ten in all three polls, spending one week at No. 8 and two weeks at No. 10.

The Yellowjackets host the University of Great Falls in a non-conference game on Thursday.  Tip off will be 7:00 p.m. at Alterowitz Gymnasium.  The Jackets resume PacWest play next week with three important home games.  They host BYU-Hawaii on February 10 and 12, and Hawaii Pacific on February 14.  The Seasiders are ranked second in the region for the third straight week and hold first place in the PacWest with a 6-1 conference record.  The Sea Warriors are currently tied with the Yellowjackets for second place in the conference with a 4-4 conference mark.
