Dustin Kono

Dustin Kono is in his first season with the Yellowjackets. The sophomore forward transferred to MSU Billings from University of Evansville, an NCAA Division I school. At Evansville, Kono played in 14 of 20 games as a true freshman defender/midfielder. A 2002 graduate of Aberdeen Central High School, he lettered four years in soccer, four years in track and one year in hockey. As a senior, he was a soccer team captain and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player. He earned all-state honors after helping his team to a 7-6-6 record and a third place finish at the state tournament. Kono scored eight goals and four assists as a senior. He also helped the track team to the 2002 state championship.
