Graduation. Can you hear it? The sound
of pomp & circumstance playing proudly
as your feet shuffle down the aisle with
your fellow classmates.
Can you see it?
Graduation caps flying in the air
as your family and friends, your support
network, cheer loudly for your
accompaishment.
Can you feel it? The pride, the
excitement, the relief, the anticipation
of what might be coming next.
To get to that point, you’ll need
some things.
You’ll need motivation.
You’ll need to work hard.
And you’ll need people - people
to teach you and people to support you.
There may be issues that come up that
become a roadblock to succeeding
academically.
I work with students on a
one-on-one basis to identify what some
resources may be to help them navigate
around those roadblocks.
Discussions may center on several
topics, such as how to manage your time
to get everything done, effective
methods of taking notes, preparing for
tests, and managing test anxiety.
At other times, it’s as simple as
identifying some goals and determining
concrete action steps to meet them.
Sometimes it is helpful to have
another person along the way in our
educational journey, motivating us
toward the end goal and pointing out
pathways to help get us there.
If I can be of assistance, let me
know.
