Dear Students,
Montana State University-Billings is fully committed to
continuing to serve your educational needs.
We are in the process of finalizing arrangements to provide
you with the following resources and services to enable
you to successfully enroll in and complete the accounting
and business related courses which had previously been offered
through our partnering agreement with ANJO International.
Additional details will be provided to you as soon as we
complete the necessary arrangements. However, we hope that
the following information will provide you with reassurance
during this transition in our operations. At this time,
our intended action plan includes:
1. Opening a New MSU-Billings Japan Office &
Hiring Experienced Japanese Staff:
MSU-Billings will be opening a new office location in Tokyo,
staffed by Japanese professional employees, who had previously
worked at ANJO International. Ms. Kitazawa will be serving
as our new Office Manager and she and other office assistants
will be working to provide you with the resources and services
you need to successfully enroll in and complete the courses
being offered by MSU-Billings.
2. Providing Official Transcripts:
Student records, grades, and official University transcripts
of completed courses will be permanently recorded in the
Registrar's Office at Montana State University-Billings.
Beginning immediately and at any time in the future, students
are able to order copies of official transcripts to be mailed
to their personal address or to have them mailed to specific
Accountancy Boards as requested by the student. During this
transition period, MSU-Billings will send copies of official
transcripts at no cost to the student. At a later date,
once our transition is complete, there may be a small transcript
processing and mailing fee that will be charged to students.
3. Continuing Course Registration & Delivery
of Course Materials:
Our intent is to continue the delivery of the accounting
and business related courses which had previously been offered
through our partnering agreement with ANJO International,
for at least the next two years. This will enable all students
currently enrolled in our credit courses and those students
still needing additional courses to satisfy the requirements
to take the U.S. CPA examination an opportunity to register
for the needed courses, to receive the appropriate course
materials (Textbooks, DVD's, Internet Video, etc), and to
complete the final course examinations required to earn
University credit from MSU-Billings. Additionally, we also
intend to explore a number of options that will enable us
to continue the delivery of these courses after the initial
2 year period, but at a minimum, we are committed to the
delivery of these course offerings to serve students for
at least the next two years.
4. Continuing Exams Offered in Japan:
MSU-Billings will schedule, at locations in Japan, a specific
set of dates and times that students can complete examinations
for any of our credit courses. These examination opportunities
will occur every month for at least 2 years. Once the schedule
is finalized, students will be asked to register in advance
of each exam.
MSU-Billings is hopeful that by providing students with
the above services and resources, that all students affected
by this situation can be successfully served, and that any
new students who are interested in enrolling in these courses
can be confident that MSU-Billings will continue to honor
its commitment to serve the educational needs of our students.
Additional details on the above action plans will be provided
as arrangements are finalized in the next few weeks. In
the meantime, please continue to check our website at http://www.msubillings.edu/uscpa
for further updates and information. Also, please send any
questions, issues, suggestions, or concerns that you may
have to anjostudent@msubillings.edu and we will do our best
to assist you.
Sincerely,
Kirk
