Sharon Doubet, Ph D
Assistant Professor, Illinois State University

Sharon Doubet, received a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Special Education, from the University of Illinois, and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education, Illinois State University. She has enjoyed many roles within the early childhood field and continues to learn from children and adults in a variety of program and community settings. Past positions include: paraprofessional, teacher (child care, preschool, and public school), grant writer, special educator, Title I, parent and program coordinator, resource specialist and professional development coordinator in a variety of private programs, public schools, and university settings. Sharon has worked in both rural and urban environments where she continues to investigate curriculum, assessment, standards, parent partnerships, diverse learners, literacy, project work and the social and emotional development of young children.
