REX MIX AWARD PRESENTATION

As Vice-Chair elect Nancy Burroughs (CSU, Stanislaus) presented the Rex Mix Programs of Excellence Award to the Department of Communication and Theater at Concordia College. Stephanie Ahlfeldt and Don Rice of Concordia College accepted the award on behalf of their institution and their department. Don shared how grateful, thankful and honored they were to receive the award and described about their program of 300 majors and minors in a school of about 2750 students. Numerous co-curricular activities such as theater, radio, television, debate, and individual events are opportunities available to majors and minors. The department is striving for excellence and brought some of their students to NCA to present their research. He felt the department provided experiences for students with all background levels.
