Drafting Department Drawing Grading Criteria
The following table has been
established by the Drafting Department faculty in order to provide the students
with a common understanding of grading criteria used for the evaluation of drawings.
This should assist the student in their own review of drawings prior to their
being handed in and will assist the instructors in maintaining an even grading
scale during the evaluation of similar projects, support an even basis for
evaluation of all projects over time, and create a foundation of expectations
between departmental students and faculty.
It must be understood that this is a
basis for evaluation and that other factors may be added to this list,
as they become evident. It must also be noted that some areas contain a range
of possible deductions – this allows the instructor discretion to
"weigh" the range of error that has been made.
