Testing Center

Many people today are demonstrating that they have the experience and preparation to manage computers and software programs. So consider joining in this process of proving your skills by taking one of the many certification tests offered at the College of Technology. The COT is an approved testing site for many certification areas.

Testing Accommodations - Persons with documented disabilities may request accommodation.

At Montana State University-Billings, students may earn credit through alternatives including challenge tests. Several options are available.

ACE, PONSI, Military Credit
Students may have already earned credit through work-site training or government-sponsored workshops or military experience. If students have certificates or other documentation which states that the American Council on Education (ACE) or the National Program on Non-Collegiate Sponsored Instruction (PONSI) assess that training, credit may be available for coursework for which there are equivalencies in the MSU Billings curriculum. Military credit is assessed from the DD 214, DD 295 or the military transcript.

Contact Amy Beatty, College of Technology, at 247-3057, for questions about this type of training or for military credit transcription.

Authorized Prometric Testing Center
Microsoft, A+, Novell, Cisco, J. D. Edwards and many other tests are delivered at MSU Billings COT, which is an Authorized Prometric Testing Center. To take one of the tests, please call the Prometric Client registration office. If you do not have the number, please call (406) 247-3025. Candidates may register via the web at www.2test.com.
