We offer the best of both worlds. Some students value personal interactions with their instructors. They want to be known by name and be able to sit down with faculty members and learn from them in person. For other students, it is more important to learn from faculty who are actively engaged in research and have an up-to-date understanding of science. At MSU Billings, we offer the best of both worlds. Small class sizes allow us to focus on our students as individuals and make their learning experience more personal than at larger universities. The faculty at MSU Billings are also active researchers. Because of this, students are exposed to science on a first-hand basis. This isn't true at most smaller colleges. At MSU Billings, our faculty are excellent teachers who are committed to active research. This is a place where you can have the best of both worlds.

What will you find here? The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at MSU Billings offers many advantages.

Small classes with excellent faculty: Our students benefit from personal interactions with faculty who are well trained and dedicated. Small class sizes and accessible instructors make MSU Billings an excellent place to learn science.

Placement success: Our students are highly successful at reaching their goals following graduation. Many pursue health-related professions where our placement success is close to 100%. Other students choose to further their education by attending graduate school. Our students are also highly successful at moving directly into science and teaching-related jobs immediately after graduation. Regardless of your goals, we can help you reach them.

Practical experience: We don't just talk about science. We help students do science. Our academic programs will challenge you to develop excellent problem-solving skills that can be applied to any career. Our "hands-on" approach lets you learn more than just theory. It helps you learn by doing. That makes a big difference.

We invite you to take a closer look at the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at MSU Billings. Our web page is full of information and if you have any questions, you should feel comfortable contacting us by e-mail or phone. Better yet, if you would like to meet us, we can make arrangements for a campus visit.
