Presently (October 2006), the athletic training education program was recommended for Initial Accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Athletic Training and has received a five year initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Students are eligible to sit for the BOC examination.
