May 14th, Billings and Beyond

At 5:00am I am not the most coherent person, and being up this early is not my favorite thing. However, the excitement of going back to Japan and starting what I am sure will be a life changing adventure has my adrenaline pumping. I am extra chattery this morning, due to the lethal combination of adrenaline and anxiety pumping through my veins. The one thing that is scary to me is being alone in Japan, a country where if lost, I will stay lost! Not to mention, I have never had so much freedom on my prior overseas trips and, the other trips I have always had at least one good friend going with me, but not this trip! I am flying solo. Yet, I am thrilled. It is time to board the plane and get ready for 11 hours of fun.

Why you should fly with Singapore airlines:
1. You get a warm towel upon boarding.
2. What looks to be apple juice and is served along with orange juice is really beer.
3. Free cocktails (If you're 21 years and older, or appear to be).
4. If you're a male you will appreciate the female flight attendants whose bodies resemble barbie's.
5. If you forgot to bring entertainment you can pick from over 50 movies.
6. At dinner you are served Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and not that generic crap.
7. You are fed about every hour, and will never go hungry or thirsty.
8. Lastly, you may get as lucky as I did and sit next to a self confessed, bleeding heart liberal mormon, who gives you more information about himself than you ever would need to know... all before lift off!

We are getting close to land and I am very excited and more than ready to get off this plane. However, we have to wait until the people have done a check for swineflu. They just came into the plane and have been shooting all of our heads to check our temperature. Luckily, there is a very pretty sunset out the widow of the plane to distract me. Anyway, I hope the trip will be all I hope for and more. At this point I have no questions because I am too tired to think. I just hope I like Japanas much as I remember liking it. I also hope I take away a greater understanding of the people and the culture, something I could not do in the 5 days I spent here last time.
