Jason Skrifvars (6'7", 225 lbs.)

Season Outlook:  Will add defensive and offensive pressure on the boards while adding points to an already high-scoring offensive squad

At MSU Billings: In his sophomore season, Jason played in 15 games before re-injuring his knee.  He shot 15 for 26 from the field for 58%, while averaging 3.5 points per game.  He grabbed 58 rebounds in those 15 games.  In his sophomore season, Jason would play in only three games before his season ending injury after returning from the Disney Classic. Jason received a medical red-shirt.  In his freshman season, Jason provided depth in the front court. He led the Yellowjackets in rebounding in six games. He averaged 4.4 rebounds per game and had eight blocks on the season. He grabbed 10 rebounds in his first collegiate game at MSU Billings. He had season highs in points (8) and rebounds (12) in a January win over Western New Mexico. Jason shot a solid 53% from the field for the season.

At Brea-Olinda: Jason earned letters in both basketball and golf. He was named to the Orange County All-Star team. He was the school's scholar athlete of the year. He also played on the Branch West and IEBP AAU basketball teams.  He was twice named all-conference in golf.

Personal: Jason is the son of Craig and Paula Skrifvars, born on August 8, 1979. He has one sister and his brother, Jerett, who is also a member of the men's basketball team. He is majoring in Information Systems.  He would like to attend graduate school one day.  His favorite movie is White Men Can't Jump.  His favorite food is sushi.  His favorite non-sports hero is Bill Gates.
