Holiday Inn/Chinook Wireless Yellowjacket Classic All-Tournament Team (11/20/05)

BILLINGS, MT – Five players were selected to the Holiday Inn/Chinook Wireless Yellowjacket Classic All-Tournament Team on Sunday.  The four-team tournament, held in Billings on November 18 and 19, featured four NCAA Division II schools from four different regions.  Montana State-Billings represented the South Central Region, Hillsdale College represented the Great Lakes Region, Fort Lewis represented the North Central Region, and Western Oregon represented the West Region.

Hillsdale went 2-0 at the tournament, defeating Western Oregon and host Montana State-Billings.  The Chargers had two of the five all-tourney selections, including tournament MVP Nikki Wustman.  Wustman averaged 15 points and 7.5 rebounds a game for the weekend, posting a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds against MSU Billings on Saturday.  Lauren Fewins was also named to the all-tournament team for the Chargers.  She had a consistent weekend, averaging 9.5 points and 8.5 rebounds.

MSU Billings forward Tanya Petersen posted back-to-back double-doubles for the Yellowjackets, averaging 17.5 points and 12.5 rebounds.  She scored 22 points with 13 rebounds in Saturday’s loss to Hillsdale.  The Yellowjackets defeated Fort Lewis on Friday.

Stephanie Kosters of Fort Lewis scored in double figures both nights, averaging 12.5 points a game.  She also led the Skyhawks in rebounding, averaging eight boards a game.  Fort Lewis lost to MSU Billings on Friday before defeating Western Oregon on Saturday.

Leada Berkey was one of the few bright spots for Western Oregon in their losses to Hillsdale and Fort Lewis.  Although the Wolves averaged just 44.5 points a game, Berkey averaged 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds.  She posted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday against Fort Lewis.
