HONOLULU, HI – The eighth-ranked Hawaii Pacific volleyball team swept MSU Billings Tuesday night to remain unbeaten in PacWest Conference play.  The Sea Warriors won 30-27, 30-20, 32-30 to improve to 4-0 in the PacWest and 10-1 overall.  MSU Billings dropped to 1-2 in the conference and 8-4 overall.

The Yellowjackets’ Olivia Munro (Sr., OH, Toronto, Ontario) led all players with 22 kills and 11 digs.  She currently leads the PacWest in digs and is second for kills.

Jessica Bratton (So., OH, Casper, WY) and Alicia Cazemier (Fr., MB, Vauxhall, Alberta) also recorded double-digit kills for the Jackets.  Bratton finished with 16, and Cazemier added 10.

Despite the three-game sweep, the Yellowjackets still hit a solid .286 as a team.  Hawaii Pacific hit .375 behind 14 kills from Barbara Martin.  Martin had no errors on 23 attempts for a .609 hitting percentage.  Martin leads the conference in individual hitting percentage, and the Sea Warriors have the top team hitting percentage in the league.

The Sea Warriors had 12 total team blocks in the match to increase their conference lead over the Yellowjackets in team blocks per game.  MSU Billings wasn’t credited with a block in the match, dropping their season average to 2.28.  Cazemier is second in the conference for individual blocks behind Martin, who was in on five blocks Tuesday night.

Natalie Bills (So., S, Provo, UT) handed out 41 assists to maintain her narrow conference lead in assists per game.  HPU’s Vera Oliveira had 48 assists and is now just 0.14 assists per game behind Bills in the conference statistical rankings.

The Yellowjackets continue PacWest play in Hawaii on Friday when they play at third place Chaminade (7-3, 2-1).  They wrap up the trip on Saturday at Hawaii-Hilo (4-9, 1-3).
