MSU Billings Hires Men’s Soccer Coach (Apr. 18, 2005)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings Athletics Director Dr. Gary Gray announced Monday that Dan McNally has been hired as the head men’s soccer coach.  McNally will take over immediately and plans to be in Billings by Friday to hold a weekend training camp for current players.

A native of England, McNally was most recently an assistant coach at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla.  He was a full time assistant for four years during which Nova went 54-17-8.  His duties included recruiting, scheduling, and fundraising in addition to his on field responsibilities.  NSU, an NCAA Division II program, was ranked 15th in the nation last season and placed second in the Sunshine State Conference.

McNally’s coaching career also includes one season as an assistant at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and four seasons as an assistant at Mainland High School, both in Daytona Beach, Fla.  He graduated from Embry-Riddle in 2000 after a four year playing career.  In 1999 McNally was an NAIA honorable mention All-American and earned first team all-region and first team all-conference honors.
