Jackets Softball Sweeps Dawson CC in Triple Header (October 5, 2002)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings softball defeated Dawson Community College, 15-1, in one of three fall exhibition games Saturday.  In the battle of "A" squads, MSUB out-hit DCC 12-2, including home runs by Sara Hanley and Meghan O'Donnell.  Megan McCrae and Jordan Waverek combined for the win and six strikeouts.  Sami McDonald, a sophomore from Laurel, suffered the loss.

MSUB opened the day winning the "B" squad game 10-3, and finished the day winning the "Split" squad game 11-1.  Christy Wankel, Michele Falsken and Layne Pavey all homered for the Jackets in the final game.

MSU Billings wraps up its fall season in Glendive Saturday, October 12.  The Yellowjackets will play Western Nebraska CC at noon, Dawson CC at 2 p.m., and WNCC again at 4 p.m.
