SPSA 104 Image Your World: Basic Photography
This is an introductory course on photography. Participants will learn to use their cameras for improving photographs of people, scenic photography, and close-up subjects. Emphasis will be given to composition, lighting, and exposure for capturing images that are aesthetically pleasing. Students will take photographs and display them for class feedback. Students may invite their friends and family for an end-of-class presentation of class work.

Instructor: David Garloff has over 50 years experience in photography. In graduate school, he was trained in educational media and did his doctoral thesis in perceptual recognition of photographs by different aged children. He has produced numerous exhibits, been awarded prizes for his work, and sold prints of his scenic photography throughout the country.

SPSA 102 Classical Oil Painting
This course will provide individual instruction in oil painting – regardless of your experience level. Throughout the course, we will cover palette arrangement, color mixing, and materials. We will also discuss the elements in a successful painting, such as composition, masses, values, and technique. Join us for a fun learning experience! Additional materials will be required for the class.

Instructor: Joyce Lee has 50 years of art experience; 15 years as a full-time professional artist. She has led numerous workshops and art classes and has taken painting trips to Italy, England, Ireland, and Mexico. Her art has been published in the Big Sky Journal, Architectural Digest, and many others.

SPSA 109 Basic Computer Skills: Windows XP
In this class, students will learn the basics of computers using Windows XP, such as learning how to navigate the desktop, file and folder management, and basic email use. Specific topics addressed will include windows management, basic Windows commands, and system configuration. Students will learn tips and tricks to make life easier when operating a computer.

SPSA 101 Design a Beautiful Mosaic Holiday Mirror
Need some last minute Christmas gifts for your grandkids? In this class, you will design and create a beautiful holiday mosaic mirror by learning the techniques of attaching embellishments and grouting mirrors. Join us for this fun class and go home with a one-of-a-kind family treasure that you will treasure for years or give as a gift!

SPSA 105 Mosaic Christmas Ornaments
You will design and create two beautiful mosaic Christmas ornaments, one round and one flat. In the first class, you will design the ornaments and start gluing on embellishments. In the second class, you will finish embellishments and grout the ornaments. You will go home with two one-of-a-kind family keepsakes that you can treasure for years or give as gifts.
